| Loreto road improvements Road renovations continue in Loreto. Scheduled work for February includes our street, Calle Benito Juarez. The work will LIMIT AND/OR PREVENT VEHICLE ACCESS to the street and property for approximately 4 weeks. Parking will have to be around the corner on Madero and access to the property will, at times, be on foot only. Please keep this in mind when reserving bungalows for the months of February and March, and April. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause. This page will be updated when work begins. Please check back for progress reports. FEB 15TH. WORK HAS STARTED. The concrete pavement has been removed and a new drain line installed. The road ( dirt ) is currently open until repaving starts. March 9th. Our driveway/off-street parking no longer accessible. It appears that new curbs will be poured this coming week. The street is still open but not for long. Best parking is on Madero, around the corner from us. March 11th. Our road, for all intents and purposes, is closed. there will be very limited access for a short while preparations for paving are undertaken. March 22nd. Final grading should be completed this coming week with paving starting soon after. It appears our road will be closed to vehicular traffic thru most of April. April 11th. paving ( stamped concrete) started 4 days ago and our short block is done. The work on the longer block that ends at the malecon is underway. Unknown when our street will reopen. April 20th. The road is open as is access to our off-street parking. |
